About the Position

ACE Physicians is seeking a dependable, professional, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team in an in-office setting. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and comfortable supporting both patients and clinical staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The Medical Assistant will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while helping ensure the office operates efficiently each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with the check-in and rooming process
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and other patient information
• Prepare examination rooms and patients for provider visits
• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care as needed
• Update and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Answer and route patient calls and messages appropriately
• Assist with appointment coordination and follow-up
• Prepare supplies and maintain clean, organized exam and clinical areas
• Assist with prescription refill requests, referrals, and other clinical documentation as directed
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals
• Perform additional administrative and clinical duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant or clinical office experience preferred
• Medical Assistant certification is preferred but may not be required depending on experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working with electronic medical records and basic computer systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy medical office
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Ability to communicate compassionately and professionally with patients

Compensation

$20.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position working directly with physicians, clinical staff, and patients. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and enjoys being part of a collaborative healthcare team.
